STOCKTON – When Shoaib Mohammed was 19 years old, he left his family and life in Pakistan to pursue his slice of the American dream.
He studied finance at California State University, Chico, and in 1998, opened his first Pizza Guys franchise on Plymouth Road east of Interstate 5 in Stockton. He opened a second location the following year on Waterloo Road in Stockton and last month, the 53-year-old from Karachi, Pakistan, opened a third location at West and Hammer lanes in Stockton.
“We’ve had very good response from the community, so far,” Mohammed said about his new store. “We have a lot of new customers. A lot of people were excited to see us open in this area.”
