Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A drug-related arrest in Rochester Monday night may help police in their ongoing investigation into a recent spike in overdoses, including at least two that were fatal.
Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says two men were arrested after a traffic stop led to the discovery of 6,000 Oxycodone pills.
They were found in the back seat of the car that was driven by 25-year-old Dahir Dahir. He was pulled over for speeding and the car was searched after the officer smelled marijuana.
A passenger - 25-year-old Abdullai Islaw of Rochester - was also arrested. Both men are expected to be arraigned Wednesday on drug charges.
