However, stunned by the early goal, Enyimba attempted to get back into the game but were denied by the outstanding goalkeeping of their former keeper, Dele Aiyenugba who dived to his left to deny Stephen Manyo from cancelling out United’s slender lead.
Undaunted by the pressure on them by the hosts, the more illustrious Enyimba continued to push for an equaliser which failed to come before the end of the first half.
At the restart of the second half, Kwara United almost made it two-nil when Ohanu Michael rounded Enyimba goalkeeper, John Noble but watched helplessly as the ball hit the woodwork.

Ilorin, Jan. 20, 2021 Kwara United’s Michael Ohanu produced a man-of-the-match performance to help his team beat Enyimba International FC of Aba by a lone goal.
Naija247news reports that the rescheduled Matchday 2 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter was played at the Kwara Stadium Complex in Ilorin on Wednesday.
Kwara United’s goal in the 6th minute, through Jude Stephen, destabilised the visitors’ plan for most part of the first 45 minutes.
Ohanu beat the offside trap to find Stephen, who tapped in from close range for the only goal of the game.
Kalu Nweke would have doubled the lead for the hosts in the 19th minute, but his effort went wide.

Two second-half goals were all visiting Kwara United required to secure maximum points against a lacklustre Plateau team in Jos.
In spite of near-perfect ball possession by the home team, it was the visitors that exhibited good composure and resilience in converting chances to inflict defeat on Plateau United.
