Muslim pupils who were upset after a teacher at their French school showed them a nude 17th-century painting will be disciplined, France's education minister has pledged.
Teachers at a school near Paris have gone on strike amid fears for their lives after an outcry over one of their colleagues showing Muslim students a nude painting.
The 47-year-old teacher in Paris was leading a class on freedom of expression when he showed caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad - considered blasphemy by many Muslims - before he was killed.
