The court in Andhra Pradesh on Monday served death penalty to 12 convicts of the highway murders cases of 2008-09, including the gang leader Munna.
Seven others have been convicted with imprisonment for life or seven years.
A gang lead by Abdul Sammad alias Munna, would kill drivers and cleaners of lorries with heavy loads on the highway, and then break those lorries into scrap, to sell that scrap further.
The notorious gang had killed 13 persons, later he was arrested.
The hearing of four of the cases, in which 6 were murdered, has been completed, and the verdict has been pronounced on Monday.

The notorious gang, involved in highway robbery, killed 13 people in a span of one year
The accused murdered, over a period of one year, drivers and cleaners of several lorries plying on Vijayawada-Chennai National Highway No 16 after stopping the vehicles under the guise of police.
NELLORE: In a sensational judgment, the 8th additional sessions court in Ongole sentenced a notorious serial killer Munna and 11 of his gang members to death on Monday.
The court also sentenced seven other members of the gang for life. The accused were involved in the murder of 13 persons and there are seven criminal cases booked against them nearly 13 years ago.

The city police nabbed an inter-State gang of cheats who would dupe people of their money by promising to procure gold at cheap prices. The police recovered ₹15 lakh from them besides gold biscuits, two cars, a two-wheeler and five phones used.
The accused were named as Mustafa alias Yusuf, Abdul Hakim, Kunjiraman, Mohammad Shafi, Gurucharan, Karthik and Samiullah. While Mustafa, Kunjiraman and Shafi are from Kerala, Abdul Hakim, Gurucharan and Karthik are from Kodagu and Samiullah is from Mysuru.
A special team was constituted to track down the gang after two cases of cheating were reported in the city. Based on a tip off, the police zeroed in on Mustafa which led to the arrest of six others. While Mustafa, Kunjuraman and Abdul Karim were nabbed on Monday, the remaining were taken into custody on Wednesday.
