Each edition of the Indian Premier League has unearthed young talent from India’s domestic circuit. While some of these youngsters fizzle away after a season or two, the others find their way to international cricket via good performances in the IPL. Talk about the Pandya brothers, or Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar, the IPL has played a big role in polishing some of the current Team India players. 1. Shahrukh Khan (Punjab Kings)
Tamil Nadu’s power hitter Shahrukh Khan was picked up by Punjab Kings for Rs 5.25 crore after he impressed in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. His 19-ball 40 in the quarter-finals and seven-ball 18 in the final were two innings in particular that brought him into the limelight ahead of the IPL auctions.
