Joint Commissioner of Police MN Anucheth said, “The city produces more than 30 petabytes of data each month. The motivation behind the MoU with IISc is to enable the development of insights from this largely unused police data to alleviate the city’s mobility and traffic safety challenges.” He added, “We also look forward to training and capacity building from IISc, which can provide our staff with the right knowledge base to improve mobility and traffic safety.”
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will collaborate with traffic police to tackle congestion and enhance traffic safety in the city using data-centric and domain-knowledgeable AI solutions.
