Kota Kinabalu: A 49-year-old man was fined a total of RM5,000 for having unregistered products and cosmetics without labels.
Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus handed the sentence to Abdul Rahman Mohd Din who pleaded guilty to the two charges against him on Thursday.
On the first count, Abdul was fined RM3,000 or three months’ jail for having 13 unregistered products at 12.10pm on Sept 11, 2019 at Alief Trading in Goshen town, Kota Marudu.

Among the products were Clobetamil G, Clariderm, BabyFace, BL Cream and Freshcare.
The offence under Regulation 7 (1)(a) of the Control of Drugs and Cosmetic Regulations 1984 carries a jail term of up to three years, or a fine of up to RM50,000 or both, on conviction.
