Jatka Conservation Week-2021 begins in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, April 4, 2021(BSS)-Jatka Conservation Week-2021 began in the district today with a call to ensure the sustainable production of national fish Hilsa.
This year’s theme of the week is ‘Mujib Borshe Shapath Nebo, Jatka noy Ilish Khabo’.
To mark the week, the district fisheries office and Shaghata, Fulchhari, Sadar and Sundarganj upazila fisheries offices chalked out elaborate programmes till March 10.
The programmes include pasting posters, publicity activity through loud speakers among the fishermen who reside on the bank of the river Jamuna (Brahmaputra) of the upazilas in the district, counselling, holding discussion meeting to the fishermen and conducting mobile courts in the river areas of the upazilas.
