Teen charged in deadly shooting on I-24 in Nashville

Two people were killed and two more were injured in a shooting on I-24 near downtown Nashville Tuesday morning.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â Metro Nashville Police officers charged a 16-year-old in the deaths of a 12 and 14-year-old in Nashville.
The driver, Abdiwahab Adan, 12, and a back seat passenger Donquez Abernathy, 14 were killed in the incident. A 14-year-old girl, the front seat passenger, was wounded.
Williams, the passenger side rear passenger, also received a serious gunshot wound to his leg. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation. Williams is being held at juvenile detention.

Metro Nashville police announced Thursday the arrest of a 16-year-old boy accused of shooting three juveniles inside a stolen pickup truck on I-24.
The Nov. 24 shooting killed driver Abdiwahab Adan, 12, and the driver’s side rear passenger, Donquez Abernathy, 14. The shooting occurred around 3:15 a.m. and also injured a 14-year-old girl.
The suspected shooter, who suffered a serious gunshot wound in his leg, is facing charges of criminal homicide and attempted criminal homicide. The Tennessean is withholding the teen s name since he is a juvenile.
