Authorities provided few details but said that the bear was in a tree on the 100 block of Tamalpais Avenue, and that there was no immediate threat to the public, Central Marin Police Authority said. Police said they were coordinating with a number of wildlife response teams to “help resolve this incident with minimal risk to the animal.”
