Lee women’s volleyball coach Andrea Hudson and her young squad completed the 2021 portion of their home schedule with a thrilling four-set victory over Gulf South Conference Spring Championship Alabama Huntsville on Wednesday evening inside Walker Arena. In the midst of completing her 30th season directing the Lee program, the celebration began before the opening serve and lasted after the 25-27, 27-25, 25-22, 25-23 victory. Several former players gathered at center court to honor Coach Hudson and her husband Kevin. The assistant coach made it clear that the season is not over for the Lady Flames. They will be traveling to Dallas to take part in a tournament.

Lee Volleyball Opens Spring Season With Split Saturday, March 6, 2021 The Lady Flames honored senior Rachel Junen in a special ceremony prior to the Union match on Saturday. The Lee volleyball team opened the 2021 spring season with a Gulf South Conference split on Saturday at Walker Arena. The Lady Flames rolled to a game one victory over Shorter in straight sets (26-24, 25-22, 25-17) but fell in straight sets in the nightcap to Union (23-25, 16-25, 15-25). The Lady Flames are 1-1 on the year but with group play set up this year Lee is 1-0 in conference play with Union being placed in the opposite group. Lee will step outside of conference play to host Bryan College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
