Renovation revealing historic details of downtown La Crosse building

Leithold Music is renovating the front of the Tillman Furniture Building, which was built in 1890.
Leithold purchased the building and moved in April 1964.
During the renovation, prism glass was found behind the store’s red sign.
“We’re kind of rediscovering some things. And seeing how that we can bring those historical aspects into the future and what we can use for Leithold Music,” said Leithold Music co-owner Abbie Leithold-Gerzema.
A new sign will eventually be installed featuring the prism glass.
