The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said that no fewer than 89 suspected drugs peddlers have been arrested in Kaduna State between January and May.
The state NDLEA Commander, Iyke-Uche Samuel, made the disclosure at a news conference on Tuesday in Kaduna, NAN reports.
Samuel said the operatives seized 1,721.508kg of drugs and other illicit substances within the period under review.
According to him, NDLEA operatives arrested 23 suspected drug dealers in January, 21 in February, 18 in March, 22 in April and five in May.
The commander listed the drugs seized from the suspects to include Indian hemp, Tramadol, Cocaine, Heroin and other Psychotropic substances.
Four arrested for kidnapping 13-year-old girl in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended four men for reportedly kidnapping a 13-year-old girl in Onipanu, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.
The four suspects were identified by the police as; 21-year-old John Nelson, 29-year-old Adeleke Ayotunde, 20-year-old Adekunle Basit and Abey Fagbemi, who is 20.
DAILY POST learnt that their arrest followed a complaint lodged by one Adejunwon Odunowo at Onipanu police station.
Odunowo had told the police that his daughter, Susan Odunowo, was sent on an errand by her mum at about 6:30 pm on Thursday, but she did not return.
