How Restoration Creates Jobs, Improves Access to Nature, & Builds Resilience to Climate Change
Through job creation, the establishment of new public open spaces, public safety improvements, climate change adaptation, and more, the Division of Ecological Restoration’s (DER’s) river and wetland restoration projects benefit communities in many ways. DER’s work demonstrates a model for economic recovery that combines ecological restoration with the creation of jobs, climate resilience, and improved access to nature for all residents of the Commonwealth.
