Guwahati: Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region, Dr Jitendra Singh said that after the global pandemic ends, Northeast India will be everyone s favourite tourist and trade destination. People will prefer to holiday in the Northeast rather than any tourists spots abroad.
Singh was the Chief Guest of the 8th edition of the North East Festival. Addressing the occasion, he said that with the support of Northeast s natural and human skill resources, it will help India to emerge as an economic power. The region will work as the New Engine of economic growth, added Singh.

GUWAHATI: Union minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday said the Northeast will emerge as an economic power with the support of its huge natural and human skill resources.
Addressing the 8th edition of the North East Festival as the chief guest, Singh said the region will also become the favourite tourist and trade destination when the coronavirus pandemic ends and holiday lovers will prefer it over going abroad.
He added that the region will truly work as the “new engine” of economic growth and it has emerged as an alternative to the European tourist destinations by remaining relatively pandemic-free, when other parts of the world were heavily infected with the virus.

The State has received approval from the Central government for mobilising finances to the tune of ₹ 2,508 crore from the open market.
Telangana, along with four others – Andhra Pradesh, Karnakata, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, received the benefit for completing the stipulated reforms in the Ease Of Doing Business, considered an important indicator of the investment-friendly business climate in the country. The approval follows completion of first assessment of district-level business reform action plan and elimination of requirement of renewal of registration certificates/approvals/licences by businesses for various activities.
