ezBike Service Launched at Quaid-i-Azam University

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Vice-Chancellor Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad Dr. Muhammad Ali launched ezBike, Pakistan’s first electric bike-sharing service for the students of the university.
The ezBike Service has been introduced in facilitation by the QAU Alumni Association which has already undertaken a number of initiatives to facilitate QAU students at the campus.
With the launch of this facility, the Quaid-i-Azam University has become the first Pakistani university where students and staff will use electric bikes to move from Ona place to another within the campus.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor QAU Dr. Muhammad Ali appreciated the initiative and hoped that the students and the university staff would take benefit from this cheap and environment-friendly bike for traveling within the campus.
Workshop on plagiarism held

Islamabad:A workshop on plagiarism was conducted by Dr. Asif Jamal, Assistant Professor, In-charge Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) for ICT Colleges and Focal Person of Quaid-i-Azam University, (QAU), Islamabad at Islamabad Model Postgraduate College of Commerce, H-8/4, Islamabad.
The participants were the QEC focal persons from 19 colleges affiliated with QAU Islamabad. Dr Asif Jamal, the resource person, highlighted important aspects related to the plagiarism. He informed that as everybody knows that digital literature resources have been increasing worldwide and this rapid growth creates possibilities of copyright violation and plagiarism. There are different software is being used for the detection of Plagiarism - one of them is “Turnitin”. This software is an essential tool to promote quality, originality, and creativity in the academic and scientific work,” he added.

The employee’s union of Uttar Pradesh Gram Vikas Bank will agitate on 1st January at the bank’s headquarters for not getting their salary.
Earlier, the union had requested the bank Chairman and General Manager by writing a letter but till now they have not received any fruitful response.
The Union General Secretary Mohd. Asif Jamal has said the bank financial position is not so good. On one side the bank is not giving loans to the farmers and on other hand the salary of employees has been stopped.
