Security forces found two bodies from the Gadole forest in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on the sixth day of an anti-terror operation even as Lieutenant Governor vowed to avenge the death of soldiers and a cop in an encounter with terrorists.
The forces claim this is the most technologically advanced operation, in which heron drones and AI-based robots are being used. Last Wednesday, two senior army officials and a J&K police officer were killed in the initial hours of the gunfight. They were identified as Colonel Manpreeet Singh, Commanding Officer of the 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Aashish Dhonchak from the same unit and DySP of J&K police Humayun Muzammil Bhat.
