Back on the road at Shrewsbury

(Wyke) (Cummings) (Maja; Waterfall) (Beckles og, O’Nien) (Januzaj) [League Cup]   Following some impressive signings, Shrewsbury have established themselves this season. After a sluggish start, Cotterill’s team have claimed some reasonable scalps at this level to steer themselves six points clear of the drop zone – having played just 24 games – at a time many would seldom have expected them to.   Among their squad – you may remember from the reverse fixture on Wearside just two-and-a-half weeks ago – are ex-Black Cat Donald Love, along with Leon Clarke, Ro-Shaun Williams and new recruit Curtis Main.   We continue to wish the hosts’ manager Steve Cotterill all the very best as he continues to recover from Covid-19 in hospital, with assistant Wilbraham taking the side from the dugout.
