There is a slim chance the San Antonio area could end 2020 with a wintry mix, according to the National Weather Service.
A cold front is moving into the area on Wednesday and will produce isolated showers and overnight temperatures in the mid to low 30s, said meteorologist Aaron Treadway.
Overnight Wednesday into Thursday, there is a 50 to 80 percent chance for rain and a remote possibility of a wintry mix of rain and snow in San Antonio, Treadway said. The best chances are in the northwest portions of Bexar County, like in Boerne and in areas with higher elevations. Treadway said if there are snow flurries not to expect it to stick because surface temperatures should remain above freezing.
