Police and prosecutors allege Josh Rider and Aaron Ong used a semi-automatic handgun to fire 11 shots from a stolen Mercedes-Benz that drove alongside Mr Virgona’s van in Donvale about 2.15am on November 9, 2019. Paul Virgona was shot dead while driving along EastLink. Mr Virgona, 46, was hit at least seven times, lost control of his van and died at the scene. The father of two had been on his way to buy produce for work.
