special kansas election. this is playing out across the board here. health and human services secretary george price s georgia seat is up for grab and the democratic candidate secured $8 million in financing and gaining ground. the gop sees both races as crucial must-wins to avoid what used to seem unthinking, losing the house next year. let s go to aaron mcpike. they are worried, aren t they? they are. in fact, i have talked to a couple of republicans that think that next year the republicans might lose the house. i talked to democrats that don t think they will win it. but these three special elections i point out, there s another one at the end of may in montana to replay ryan zinke. these three special elections are closer than the republicans would like, this kansas one has gotten closer and really ended up sneaking up on republicans.

up being a two-man race. between donald trump and me. and i think that presents a good choice to the american people. joining me now, ken vogel from politico and aaron mcpike. aaron, ladies first. is it too soon to say that or could we be looking at a two-man race. we ve been hearing for from a number of political strategists, it could be a two-man race, between marco rubio and ted cruz. but as ted cruz and trump have pointed out, it could be between trump and cruz. i was out with cruz over the weekend and his crowds are huge. they re not the size of donald trump s yet, but the kind of support that he s getting, every sentence gets cheers, it gets applause, it gets laughter. his audiences hang on his every word. and you can see that at the events. he s doing really well. he s been building up support, a

colors because he says at this time way it is. i like his roughness and little reaganesque comes to mind. that is the driving view of that, that is getting support for trump in the primaries at the polls. and it is that view that could hurt the gop in the general elections. joining me now, political analyst aaron mcpike and democratic pollster, thank you both for being here. thank you. do you believe him? i think so. we ve never seen donald trump debate before, as he said. he is certainly going to be the central figure on that debate stage. i think what we re going to be watching for is what he says about policy. you have three very capable and solid moderators next thursday
