Several teachers and others spoke at the Orion School Board meeting last week, saying a book should not have been removed from the curriculum for a dual credit English course.
High school principal Nathan DeBaillie gave a presentation to the board on the possibilities of adding more computer courses at the grade school, middle school and high school levels.
The Orion school board voted to enable the district to have the option to waive the Columbus Day, Veterans Day and Martin Luther King Day holidays in future school years.
