so i have to get these cameras really close to the tornado. after the fact when i got home and looked at the footage, i wished i had gotten a little bit closer. jason: aaron, come on. you can t get any closer to that thing. that s unbelievable. i hope nobody got hurt. i stand in awe of these types of things and as a wildlife photographer i love seeing this stuff. what was the sound like? these storms are violent but the sound, people say, is just unbelievable. that s right. the footage that you see. the closest i ve got to it was the peak intensity of the tornado. it hit two homes. that s where the ef 4 damage occurred and i knew driving up to the tornado it was a strong tornado but when i got up closer i could see the wind and the debris being torn apart. the tiny little bits looked like glitter in the tornado. but the sound, as you mention, the roar. only the upper echelon, the strongest tornadoes have that
