Prominent Yoruba leaders in the South West including those in Kwara, Kogi, Edo and Delta States under the aegis of Yoruba United Agenda rose from a Marathon meeting on Thursday with a warning to evil perpetrators engaging in nefarious activities in the land to keep off the zone or meet their Waterloo.
The leaders, in the meeting held at the Palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, charged all Yoruba’s within and diasporas to henceforth resist molestations, humiliations and any form of inhuman acts from different quarters that could lead to shedding of their blood in their own fatherland.

On Saturday, the Oba expressed displeasure over the atrocities being perpetrated by terrorists, bandits and kidnappers.
The monarch spoke in Lagos during the 51st birthday celebration of Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams.
Adeyemi charged the federal government to be proactive and ensure that the South-West is safe for residents.
“Bandits and kidnappers now have the monopoly of violence which is the reason why we are in this current situation.”
The Oba commended Adams for his courage, steadfastness and doggedness in the struggle for the liberation of the Yoruba race.
“Aare Gani Adams’ appointment is divine and based on merit. It took me over five years to consult widely and seek the support of the gods in the spiritual realms before he was appointed”, he said.
