Introducing Drop The Beat 2.0, the public installation championing young Melbourne musicians Photo via Aardvark Youth Music
The collaborative performance video will be publicly screened in the CBD across seven days.
Sponsored by City of Melbourne and funded by FReeZA, the Victorian government’s drug, alcohol and smoke-free entertainment initiative, comes a new project aiming to amplify local talented musicians and provide events for the community.
Titled Drop The Beat 2.0, the collaborative performance brings together young people from a range of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Spanning blues, rap, hip hop, electronic music and more, Drop The Beat 2.0 will see four youth groups showcasing talent from their programs, including Aardvark Music, Decibels, Real Youth Music Studios and Youth In Blues, through public screenings projected on the SIGNAL building along the Northbank on Flinders Walk.
