University of Arkansas junior Britton Wilson stayed on schedule in her bid to become the first female athlete to sweep titles in the 400 meters and 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Razorback Britton Wilson, who adorns the cover of Track & Field News magazine this month, repeated her 400m and 400m hurdles double from the SEC Championships, but did so in a shorter time frame between races to conclude the NCAA West preliminary rounds on Saturday with a pair of meet records.
Three Razorback pole vaulters advanced to Austin for the NCAA Championships while Arkansas qualified a total of 12 entries in four events for Saturday’s quarterfinals at Sacramento State on Thursday. Seven of those dozen entries were produced in the 400m.
