Akash Pathak, MLA Pradeep Panigrahi Duped Many Job Aspirants: ADG 73
Bhubaneswar: Additional Director General (ADG) of CID, Crime Branch, Odisha, Soumendra Priyadarsi, on Saturday revealed that Akash Pathak, son of suspended IFS Officer Abhay Pathak, and Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi have duped many job aspirants of huge amount of money in the state.
During investigation by Cyber Police Station of the CID CB, it is found that Akash had used fake logo and stamp of Tata Motors and also created fake email ID and visiting card to impersonate himself as the MD of the company. He was issuing fake job letters to gullible job aspirants after collecting money from them through Panigrahi and his close associates. Pathak had also started online training classes for such job aspirants, said the CB ADG.

Vigilance to investigate expelled BJD leader Pradeep Panigrahi’s graft case Post News Network
Sources said, Odisha Lokayukta proceeded for the same after seeking permission from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The Lokayukta asked the Vigilance to submit a report within two months after the preliminary investigation.
On the other hand, the Chief Minister had also recommended the Lokayukta December 7 for a probe into the corruption charges against Panigrahi.
Sources said, this is the first time that the Odisha government has asked the Lokayukta to probe into corruption allegations against an MLA.
The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) had expelled its sitting Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi from primary membership of the party November 29. In the expulsion letter, the reason mentioned was ‘anti-people’ activities.
