Krzysztof Kieslowski, 27 Haziran 1941 de doğdu, 13 Mart 1996 da hayatını kaybetti. Polonyalı film yönetmeni ve senaryo yazarıdır.
En bilinen filmleri Üç Renk üçlemesi (1993–1994),Dekalog (1989) serisi ve Véronique’in İkili Yaşamı (1991) adlı filmidir.[1] Kieslowski kariyeri boyunca Cannes Film Festivali Jüri Ödülü (1988),FIPRESCI Ödülü (1988, 1991) ve Ekümenik Jüri Ödülü (1991); Venedik Film Festivali FIPRESCI Ödülü (1989),Altın Aslan (1993) ve OCIC Ödülü (1993) ve Berlin Uluslararası Film Festivali Gümüş Ayı (1994) dahil olmak üzere sayısız ödül aldı ve 1995 yılında En İyi Yönetmen ve En İyi Yazma dallarında Akademi Ödülü adayı oldu.
