Director of Public Health Wiltshire, Kate Blackburn There’s no reason to think Wiltshire will move into Tier 3 on Wednesday, says public health boss. Recent reports in the national press predicted that Wiltshire and Swindon could possibly be moving into the strictest Covid category. However, Wiltshire Council has been quick to shoot down the claims and said it is important to take note of official data rather than speculative reports. According to official government data, the Wiltshire Council area rate is 67.4 cases per 100,000. Wiltshire’s public health director, Kate Blackburn said case numbers had dropped in recent weeks but it was important remain be vigilant moving into the festive season.
