An investigation into a stolen vehicle complaint on Thursday led to an arrest, the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs, and the seizure of about $25,000 worth of stolen merchandise.
A Thunder Bay Police Service officer with the Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit was dispatched to a residential address in the 200 block of McKellar Street on Thursday, March 4 regarding a reported stolen vehicle.
Police learned the victim had lent his vehicle to the accused, but the accused had not returned the vehicle and may have been in the process of, or preparing to, leave the city.
Police arrested a suspected impaired driver at the scene of a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon.
A Thunder Bay Police Service officer with the Traffic Unit was dispatched to an area of County Boulevard and Wentworth Crescent just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Feb.23 following a reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.
When the officer arrived he observed two vehicles that had been involved in an apparent collision.
Police spoke to one of the motorists involved, who stated the driver of another vehicle had entered their lane. The other motorist was no longer at the scene.

Police arrested an impaired motorist involved in a multi-vehicle collision while he was en route to participate in commercial vehicle road training Monday afternoon.
A Thunder Bay Police Service officer with the Traffic Unit was dispatched to the area of Harbour Expressway and Highway 11/17 following reports of a motor vehicle collision with injuries just before 1:45 p.m. on Monday Feb. 22.
When the officer arrived, they observed a three-vehicle collision. An investigation revealed the driver of a white pick-up truck had entered the left-turn lane on the Harbour Expressway and collided with a row of vehicles that were stopped at the red light there.
