Impaired driver involved in multi-vehicle collision

Police arrested an impaired motorist involved in a multi-vehicle collision while he was en route to participate in commercial vehicle road training Monday afternoon.
A Thunder Bay Police Service officer with the Traffic Unit was dispatched to the area of Harbour Expressway and Highway 11/17 following reports of a motor vehicle collision with injuries just before 1:45 p.m. on Monday Feb. 22.
When the officer arrived, they observed a three-vehicle collision. An investigation revealed the driver of a white pick-up truck had entered the left-turn lane on the Harbour Expressway and collided with a row of vehicles that were stopped at the red light there.
