ms. daisy which robbed him of an oscar earlier in his career. he said i lose. the suggestion, richard, it s an inappropriate story line because it doesn t reflect the right things, the things that he wants to see in a movie. is that fair? well, green book is an interesting case it has folks in the black community split. some people thought it was a story of heroism and friendship which is why it ended up winning amongst the academy. some see it as white savior complex. there is a split how they see the movie. other argue the movie didn t talk about the green book. a green book was a book created to help african-americans navigate from the south to the north during jim crow where they could stop. where they could get gas. where they could eat without being killed and lynched. they didn t talk about the histrionics of that book. people felt that was why this movie shouldn t win or didn t win. i thought it was a great movie of a stor friendship.
