A South Carolina Department of Transportation worker was killed Thursday morning in a collision on Highway 178. Two others were injured. The victim, Charles "Chuck" Kennedy, 59, was driving a SCDOT vehicle when another vehicle crossed the center line and struck the SCDOT vehicle head-on. Two other crew members in the vehicle were injured and transported to a local hospital, according to SCDOT. The crash happened on Highway 178 in Greenwood.
