FELONY CHARGES FILED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP, SEARCH OF MOTEL ROOM

A traffic stop on December 18 led to felony charges being filed against two Sedalia residents. A Sedalia Police report says the passenger- Aaron R. Williams- fled the vehicle and was arrested nearby. A canvas of the area where the passenger fled resulted in the finding of a handgun. The passenger also had active warrants for his arrest. With the help of a canine, authorities found 22 grams of methamphetamine. A search of the passenger’s room at a motel revealed methamphetamine, items of drug paraphernalia, firearms and ammunition. Court documents say 34-year-old Aaron R. Williams is charged with a Class B Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree; a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and Class D Felonies for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. CASE UPDATE: SEDALIA MAN FACES DRUG RELATED FELONY FOLLOWING EXECUTION OF SEARCH WARRANT

A 37-year-old Sedalia man is facing a drug-related felony charge after the execution of a search warrant in October. A Sedalia Police report says at approximately 6:25 a.m. on October 23, an officer served a search warrant related to drug activity. Shamakeith Taylor was one of the persons on the premises. Officers say they located a container inside one of his shoes he was not wearing which contained four individual bags of a substance which tested to be methamphetamine. They also located a cell phone; a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue; sandwich-style baggies; and a digital scale. Taylor is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a drug-related misdemeanor. Taylor posted $10,000 surety bond on October 29.

Sedalia Police Reports for December 18, 2020 This article is compiled from Sedalia Police Department reports: On Wednesday around 9:30 p.m, Sedalia Police responded to Inter-State Studios, 3500 Snyder Road, on a report of someone jumping the fence at Rac-Jac Storage at 3505 Green Ridge Road. A suspect was located and arrested inside the fenced area of the storage units. 31-year-old Adam C. Shephard of Sedalia was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold and charged with 2nd degree burglary, 1st degree trespassing, stealing and possession of burglary tools.   On Thursday evening around 7:30 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 3402 W. Broadway on a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that it was a discipline issue between parent and child.
