Margaret Bonner

Saturday, January 30, 2021 8:45 pm Margaret Bonner, 92, a resident of Cleveland, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, in a local health care facility.    She was the daughter of the late Delis and Bertha Gaylor, and was also preceded in by her husband, E.J. Bonner; her son, Jimmy D. Chase; and her brothers: Everett Gaylor and his wife, Avis, and James Gaylor and many lifelong friends.   Margaret loved her family and her Lord and Savior was a lifelong member of Big Springs Baptist Church where she was very active teaching Sunday School and vacation Bible school.  She enjoyed her many years as a member of The Eastern Star, where she was very active holding many offices. She was also a Red Cross volunteer as a Grey Lady at Bradley Memorial Hospital and was also employed by Advanced Photographic Solutions. She loved people and especially loved her family.

Salyer Banks

Wednesday, December 16, 2020 11:56 am Rev. Salyer Banks, 87, of McDonald, passed into the presence of His Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at the home of his daughter. He was born to Grant and Rausey Stallard Banks on April 29, 1933, in Perry County, Ky. He married his high school sweetheart, Diana Lee Frederick, on August 27, 1951. Together they raised two children: Lucretia Banks Haney and Byron Salyer Banks. Salyer spent the majority of his work life with AT&T in various positions, prior to retiring with over 30 years of service. Salyer was ordained into the ministry at White Oak Baptist Church on October 13, 1985, and pastored Burlington Heights Baptist Church.
