Muncie man held in molesting investigation
MUNCIE, Ind. A Muncie man has been accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a pre-teen girl.
Kyle Edward Burnum, 33, is preliminarily charged with five counts of child molesting, one of them a Level 1 felony carrying up to 40 years in prison.
A Muncie Police Department investigation of allegations against Burnum began May 16.
When the Muncie man was interviewed by officers last Friday the day he was arrested Burnum was allegedly caught lying. about elements of the investigation.
Burnum reportedly eventually admitted to fondling his accuser, and to exposing himself to the juvenile.

The four other preliminary molesting counts are Level 4 felonies carrying up to 12 years in prison.
