Lorny William Ness, devoted father, husband, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN surrounded by his loving family. Born March 24, 1960 in Austin, MN to Larry B. and I. Joan M. (Dunker) Ness, Sr. He grew up in the Austin/Lyle MN area for most of his life, where he made many great friends, and caused a lot of trouble with his 3 brothers and sister in his younger years. He moved to Albert Lea his senior year and graduated from Albert Lea High School with high honors in 1978. After high school, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp where he served as a Private First Class in San Diego, CA and Okinawa, Japan until being honorably discharged in 1982. After his time in the Marine Corp, he moved to Kansas City, MO where he met the love of his life, Jackie Underwood. After dating for only 4 months, they were married on June 21, 1984.
