A car has left the road, crashed through a fence and into a house on Ngongotahā Rd near Rotorua.
A police media spokeswoman said they were notified of the crash, between Henderson and Fairy Spring Rds, just after 11pm yesterday.
The single occupant of the vehicle suffered serious injuries, she said.

A St John spokeswoman said two ambulances were sent to the scene and took one patient with serious injuries to Rotorua Hospital.

New data from St John shows the number of callouts in the Lakes District related to abdominal pains rose from 405 to 536 while callouts for strokes increased from 252 to 312.

A man and a woman involved in yesterday s crash on Ngongotahā Rd remain stable in hospital.
The two, who were in separate vehicles, were seriously injured in the crash that closed the road and caused massive traffic build-up and delays.

A Lakes District Health Board spokeswoman today said a 24-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man had been moved from the Emergency Department on to a ward at Rotorua Hospital and were in a stable condition.
