Daniel James Lemaire, 42, appeared before Judge Kimberly Taniyama on Monday where she reduced his bail from $288,250 to $10,000 over the prosecutor’s objection. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
A Kona District Court judge reduced bail for a Kailua-Kona man $78,000 to $30,000 after reportedly whacking a pick-up truck with a skateboard and untying moorings for two vessels at Kailua Pier.
On Monday, Dylan Alcain and his wife Leilani Alcain appeared before Judge Kimberly Taniyama for an initial appearance after being arrested and charged in connection to two Hele Gas Station break-ins one in Kona and the other in Captain Cook; an armed robbery in Kona Paradise Subdivision in South Kona; and shooting at police officers.
