STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Kelvin Richards has served as a public defender with the Staten Island Legal Aid Society since 2013, and he wants to be the North Shore’s next City Council person.
A refugee of the Liberian Civil War, Richards, 38, is a graduate of the College of Staten Island, and current New Brighton resident. The United Auto Workers Region 9A announced their endorsement of him earlier this month.
