Tarentum Councilwoman Carrie Fox has won the Democratic nomination to run for mayor in November, according to unofficial primary results.
But who won the Republican nomination could not be immediately determined because there were so many write-in votes.
On the Democratic side, Fox collected 43.4% of the votes counted in all five precincts, compared with 39.1% for retired borough police officer Robert Lang and 16.5% for incumbent Mayor Eric Carter.
