Pratt & Whitney announced its first major jet engine order since the start of the pandemic, with Frontier Airlines ordering engines for 134 aircraft en route from Airbus.
It is Denver-based Frontier Airlines’ first-ever purchase from Pratt & Whitney, which has its headquarters in East Hartford as a subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies. The company is one of Connecticut’s largest employers with more than 11,000 workers at last report, including at a major facility in Middletown.
