called 461 ocean boulevard in miami. why don t you guys make an album in america and so always make an album in england? and maybe a change of environmental do something for you. the studio there was unbelievable. and i think that s what the suggestion was about, really. i thought those guys were actually an r&b band that hadn t really work that out yet. i thought, man, this would be so good if they could pick up on what s going on in america. i do know that they had to change something. that s when the whole idea of actually being more of a band together rather then use asians and orchestras and all that stuff. allen kendall, who s a friend of mine, said the bee gees are looking for a drummer. are you interested? and i went, yeah. i think i m interested, yeah. i m interested. we needed to get more energized, and don t rely so
best seller author, i don t think i mentioned it at my intro here. on the other hand, i have been trying to figure out why maus? why was maus selected as the focus of all this? and it backfired terribly for the mcmahon county authoritarians. but i think the reason is because the book, although it is in granular detail, the story of my parents, and the story of my father s, and their relationship in the wake of the disasters. but i think it has to do something in the dna of maus which started out as something from underground book club called funny animals. for that, i was just trying to find anthropomorphic characters. it started out when i was in a film class, taught by a friend of mine, ken jacobs, showing racist animated cartoons from the 1930s, which is very effective, racist set of characters for all minorities,
hollywood, or in, on the west side of manhattan, you run into, you encounter people all day long, as you say, in your kid s schools and your gym or whatever. most people s parents, children, i mean and trump voters, you ve been listening to, you you ve been having this discussion, argument, fight for the last now, going on seven years. going on seven years. so i think there is some truth to both, there s some truth to both points. i think in the end, i understand the arguments that are made, and i think it is a very difficult thing to wrestle. with a former president of the united states, approves a front-runner for the republican nomination and you got to cover him and you got to cover him every day on the show and it is hard to take a position, when you do this show in five years, we should not give donald trump air time with the danger he poses to american democracy. i know we talked about it the last 30 seconds before we came
whether it s the base that leads the trumpists or the trumpists in the republican caucus who lead the base. what do you make of it that we now do have a mainstream, what people think of as regular news outlet laundering trumpism and magaism alongside fox news? i m very glad you are covering this. i have to tell you, joy, i called a friend of mine at cnn before the interview, the so-called town hall. it was not a town hall. this was a fabrication that allowed the former failed president, twice impeached, now found civilly liable, criminally indicted, a man who has lied to us. you know, the old expression, lie to me once, shame on you, mr. trump. lie to me tens of thousandses of times, shame on us for taking it. shame on you, cnn. i really respect so much of what cnn does and so many of the journalists including kaitlan
on air, i don t think it is right, if your position, the head of cnn, love chris, a friend of mine, but did he say, i m not going to people on the air when they say it is raining and it is not, and saying it is raining outside every day over and over again when it is not and in fact is a fire hose of disinformation and put him on live. i don t think i think he s going to get covered, she get scrutinized, we need to hear how dangerous he is, he is more dangerous now than he was even seven years ago, and we need know, that everyone needs to know that, that s what you do every day is remind people how dangerous he is. but we don t need to have him on live to millions of people and put him in front of a crowd that will applaud him over and over again. i think the thing is to acknowledge that this is really hard, and there are good faith actors and bad faith actors. i think you have to assume that our friends over at cnn are good faith actors who got something, maybe right, in their vie
