STRIKE action by college lecturers in Greenock is set to escalate next week. EIS union members at the West College Scotland campus will be increasing walkouts to three days amid a dispute with bosses over the role of instructors. EIS-FELA depute branch secretary Mark Gillan said: Lecturers have been on strike again this week and next week strike action will increase to three days. We continue to be solid in our strike action with a ballot now open for action short of strike that would run in tandem, to demonstrate the determination of EIS-FELA to bring this dispute to a successful end.
