A Borno State High Court in Maiduguri has convicted and sentenced, Aisha Alkali-Wakil, also known as Mama Boko Haram and her accomplices, Tahiru Saidu-Daura and Lawal Shoyode, to seven years’ imprisonment. They were prosecuted by the Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a three-count charge of conspiracy and cheating to the tune of N34,593,000. In a statement, EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said Justice Aisha Kumaliya delivered the judgment on Monday, where she found the defendants guilty on the three counts.
