Bolton Mountain Rescue Team helped rescue a man at a popular beauty spot this Easter weekend. The voluntary group said they were called by the ambulance service on Monday afternoon around 4:56pm to help a 22-year-old who had injured his ankle after falling in Tiger s Clough, near Rivington. The team had to transport the man over 800 metres back on to a road where he could be picked up by an ambulance and taken to a hospital to treat his injury. A Bolton Mountain Rescue Team spokesman said: At 4.56pm yesterday (Monday) afternoon we were requested by North West Ambulance Service to assist with a 22-year-old male who had fallen whilst walking in Tiger’s Clough behind Rivington and Blackrod High School.
