This Arizona Couple Hosts Monthly Events For Their Community To Highlight Black-Owned Businesses With The Merchant And Mission-Focused Marketplace

Trehon Cockrell-Coleman and his wife, Carmishun Coleman, have lived in Tucson, Arizona, for 10 years. After realizing their community had limited resources for Black residents, they launched a program to host monthly events. These gatherings serve as safe spaces, spotlighting and supporting Black-owned businesses.

Tucson market to feature 30-plus Black-owned businesses

Trehon Cockrell-Coleman and Carmishun Coleman started the monthly Connections That Count events at The Dunbar in May. This February, they re throwing an even bigger bash featuring 30-plus all-local Black-owned businesses.
