While taking off from Nagpur, the Beechcraft King Air C 90 had lost its right wheel.
A CISF personnel spotted this on runway 32 and reported to Nagpur ATC, which in turn alerted the crew and the Mumbai airport.
The aircraft (VT-JIL) proceeded to Mumbai and hovered there to burn fuel in preparation for a belly landing without extending landing gear and minimise chances of fire.
