Wonka, a reimagined prequel to the beloved 1971 classic film
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, will be released by Warner Bros. in 2023 after much anticipation over the years. Fans have taken to Twitter to create the all-star cast they’d love to see on the silver screen, and that includes Janelle Monáe as the titular character.
The new film will be directed by
Paddington’s Paul King and has been in the works for nearly five years. This latest cinematic adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s books focuses on the formative years of Willy Wonka.
